Physical and chemical recycling technologies are emerging as powerful tools to increase the recovery of plastic materials and reduce reliance on virgin inputs. This guidance outlines CPP’s position, helping Partners and other critical stakeholders evaluate where these technologies can support a circular plastics economy, as well as where caution, safeguards, and further validation are needed.
This Guidance was developed over a two-year period by the Canada Plastics Pact, with support from CPP’s Advanced Chemical Recycling Taskforce and significant consultation with CPP Partners.
