These innovative pods, crafted from expertly roasted coffee beans wrapped in a protective plant-based coating, are designed to deliver great flavor while eliminating the need for traditional plastic and aluminum packaging. This change not only preserves the rich aroma of the coffee but also significantly reduces the waste that sometimes ends up in landfills by providing consumers with a plastic and aluminum-free option.
Through close collaboration across teams and hands-on consumer beta testing, Keurig Dr Pepper is currently fine-tuning the Keurig Alta™ brewer to ensure it meets consumer expectations with regards to quality, convenience and coffee versatility as it will make a variety of hot and cold barista-style beverages—from espresso to regular hot and chilled cold coffee. This initiative is part of a larger vision to reduce plastic waste, demonstrating that thoughtful design and everyday convenience can come together to shape a more sustainable future for single-serve coffee.
